Terms and conditions

General

These purchase conditions apply to the sale of goods and services from www.hardangerbestikk.com to consumers, and together with your order and order confirmation, constitute the entire contractual basis for all purchases. 

You must be over 18 years of age to be able to shop on our website. If you are under 18 years of age, you must have permission from a parent or guardian to be able to order.  

All purchases are regulated by the Standard Sales Conditions for Consumer Purchases of goods over the Internet, given below. The term “consumer purchases” means, sales of goods to consumers who are not primarily acting for commercial purposes, and in which the seller is acting for commercial purposes by selling goods via the Internet. The contract is developed, and its use is recommended by the Consumer Ombudsman. 

Consumer purchases via the Internet are regulated primarily by the Contract Act, the Consumer Purchases Act, the Marketing Control Act, the Cancellation Act and the ECommerce Act, and these regulations provide consumers with mandatory rights. The terms of the contract are not to be understood as a limitation on legal rights, but rather as presenting the parties’ most important rights and duties regarding all purchases. The seller may choose to offer the buyer better terms than what is stated in these Sales Conditions. 

For cases in which the contract does not give a direct solution to an issue, the contract must be supplemented by relevant legal provisions. 

Order

You can make online purchases 24 hours a day. We process all orders between 08:00 – 15.30 Monday to Friday except for public holidays. Purchases not placed during this period will be processed the next working day. 

When we receive your order, you will automatically receive an email showing what information we  have registered at the time of ordering. You are responsible for providing correct customer information when you shop,  as we cannot verify the information   alone. 

Within a short time, you will also receive an order confirmation where we confirm that we have received and processed your order, and that we are able to deliver the item (s) you have ordered. The order will then be packed and sent from us together with a Delivery Note. You will receive a right of withdrawal/cancellation form  on your order confirmation. 

We reserve the right to cancel your order, or parts of it, if an item should be permanently sold out. 

You can make changes to your information until it is packaged. You do this by contacting us at support@hardangerbestikk.com  or by phone   +47  53 67 10 00. Note that you  can not  make changes that lead to a higher or lower order amount than what is reserved on your payment card. If the order is packed and/or sent from us, you must use the right of withdrawal instead. If the order has not been processed, we can cancel the order and place a new one. 

If you choose to register with us with your username and password, you will be able to follow your order history by logging in to ‘My Page’. 

Prices and payment

All prices on hardangerbestikk.com are stated in euro and include 25% VAT. We reserve the right to change prices in the online store without notice, and reserve the right to make technical errors. At hardangerbestikk.com you can currently pay by card (Visa and MasterCard).

We are very concerned about your security as a customer, and all card handling is encrypted by our security partner Stripe (terms). None of your credit card information is stored with us.

Discount codes

Any discounts given in the form of discount codes cannot be combined with other offers or discounts unless this is clearly stated in the terms of the specific discount code. This also does not apply to already discounted products or products at special promotional prices. Only one discount code can be used per order. In addition, discounts are subject to the terms and restrictions set out in the marketing of the relevant discount code. The customer is responsible for entering the correct discount code, and price adjustments due to incorrect discount code cannot be adjusted afterwards. 

Shipping and delivery

Delivery  time from our warehouse is dependant on where in the world you want goods shipped. The delivery time will be shown in your checkout after you put in your address.  We deliver goods to the nearest post office or the post office’s “In Store” delivery points and use Bring as our supplier. 

For orders made on weekends and public holidays, the following working day applies as the first day. In connection with sales and holidays, the delivery time must be expected to be longer. 

In the event of a significantly delayed delivery, the buyer has the right to cancel the purchase. In that case, the refund will be made within 14 days. 

Your shipping costs will also be visible in your checkout based on your shipping address. The shipping cost will also be visible in your order confirmation. 

Packages that are not picked up at the post office are sent back to us after 14 days.  Bring will send pick-up message by e-mail and text message after the package has arrived at the post office/post-in-store. 

Right of withdrawal 

The cancellation deadline law gives you as a customer a 14-day full right of return. For you to be sure of your purchase, we give you an extended right of withdrawal of 30 days. We follow the provisions of the Consumer Purchase Act for all 30 days. 

This means that you can cancel the purchase by returning items to us within 30 days from the day you received them. We will refund the purchase price as soon as possible, no later than within 14 working days. To make it as easy and safe as possible, we recommend that you return the item in the original packaging. Remember that you are responsible for the item’s safety during shipment back to us. The product must be returned in good and unused condition. If the returned product is damaged or shows signs of use, you will be responsible for any loss of value of the product.

NOTE: The right of withdrawal cannot be exercised by returning the product to physical stores or to other distributors. Hardangerbestikk.com  also cannot accept products that have been bought in physical stores or other distributors. 

The cancellation form attached to your order confirmation must be completed and returned at the same time. It can also be downloaded  here. If you exercise the right of withdrawal, we will refund payments we have received from you. Please note that we do not refund the shipping amount if the order has been below our shipping limit. 

We pay for the shipping cost of a return shipment according to the cancellation deadline law. When using the right of withdrawal, the purchase price will be refunded within 14 working days.

Return and exchange of gift 

If you have received a product from hardangerbestikk.com  as a gift which you don’t wanna keep, you can return it and exchange it by using your right of withdrawal. We cannot return any cash to you because this can only be refunded to the credit card used at the time of purchase.

Complaints

When you receive an item from us, we recommend that you check as soon as possible that you have received the correct item, and that the item is not damaged during transport or has other defects or deficiencies. 

If you have received a defective or incorrectly delivered item, contact us within a reasonable time at support@hardangerbestikk.com  or by phone  +47  53 67 10 00. In the event of an error message, you will be able to use the return slip and send it back in the condition it was received. We will send out a new item immediately. In the case of incorrectly delivered goods, this must be returned in unused condition and in the original packaging. 

The buyer has always complained in time if it happens within 2 months from when the defect was discovered or should be discovered. There is a minimum of 2 years warranty period on all items. If the item is intended to last significantly longer than two years, the complaint deadline is five years.  

Hardanger  Bestikk  has an extended warranty on manufacturing defects for 10 years, read more here. Complaints to the seller should be made in turn. Contact customer services at  support@hardangerbestikk.com  and  they will help you resolve any problems. 

The return cost for complaints/incorrect deliveries is paid by Hardanger  Bestikk. In cases of refund in the event of a complaint, the amount will be refunded within 14 working days.
