These purchase conditions apply to sales to consumers of goods and services through hardangerbestikk.com (the “website”) offered by Hardanger Bestikk AB, Senapsgatan 9, 754 49 Uppsala, Sweden, corporate identity number 556528-5763 (“hardanger Bestikk”, “the company”, “we” and “our”). Our purchase conditions constitute the entire agreement between the parties. No changes to these purchase conditions will be valid unless they are in writing and signed by the parties concerned. Please read the purchase conditions carefully before placing your order and print a copy for later use. By placing an order with us, you accept these terms. Purchases on the website can be made by private individuals over the age of 18, residing in Europe (“the customer”, “you”, “your”).

ORDERING, PRICE AND PAYMENT

All prices on the website are stated in EUR and include VAT. Shipment and payment fees may apply, but these are presented before completing an order. Orders are placed easily and securely via our website and become binding once the last step at checkout (the payment) has been completed. Shortly after your order has been completed, you will receive an order confirmation via email, which serves as the receipt for the purchase. If you discover any errors in the order confirmation email, such as errors in the name or address, please contact us as soon as possible so that we may try and correct them. Unfortunately, we do not have the ability to remove, add or replace products in an order once it has been confirmed.

Prices can sometimes be changed without prior warning, but all orders are carried out with the price stated at the time of purchase.

On the website, you can pay using the following payment methods:

  • Card (VISA and MasterCard)
  • PayPal

For card payments, a reservation is made in your bank account when the order is confirmed. The amount is then deducted once the order is shipped. We care about your security as a customer, and all card processing is encrypted by our security partner Stripe. By using PayPal, information about you can be passed on (such as name, address, email address, and telephone number).

DISCOUNT CODES

Any discounts in the form of discount codes cannot be combined with other offers or discounts unless this is clearly stated in the terms and conditions of a specific discount code. They also cannot be used on already discounted products or products with special promotional prices. Only one discount can be used per order. Additionally, discounts are subjected to the terms and conditions that are stated in the marketing for the discount code in question. The customer is responsible for entering the correct discount code. Price adjustments due to incorrect discount codes cannot be made afterwards.

 

MEMBERSHIP TERMS – CUSTOMER CLUB

In Hardanger Bestikk’s Customer Club, you will receive customized guidance, maintenance tips, table setting inspiration, as well as exclusive offers that are relevant to you and your products.

Hardanger Bestikk’s Customer Club is a free membership that applies to hardangerbestikk.com, and if you have bought our products elsewhere. Membership is obtained by registering your details.  A membership in our customer club is personal and cannot be transferred to others, and membership is only available to private individuals who have reached the age of 16. The same person can only hold one membership in Hardanger Bestikk’s Customer Club.

Changes to Terms and Conditions

Hardanger Bestikk reserves the right to change the terms ansd conditions for the customer club. The current terms and conditions applicable will always be available at https://hardangerbestikk.com/terms-and-conditions/

In the event of a change to terms and conditions that require active consent, and where the member does not wish to give renewed consent, Hardanger Bestikk reserves the right to terminate the agreement with 3 months’ notice. This also applies if we decide to discontinue the membership concept.

Termination of membership

You can terminate your membership at any time by using the unsubscribe link located at the bottom of the latest newsletter you have received. Here can you also update your preferences.

Hardanger Bestikk reserves the right to terminate your membership, in the event of, or any suspected general or illegal misuse of the membership.

AVAILABILITY

We reserve the right to cancel an order or parts of an order if an item is permanently sold out.

 

DELIVERY

Orders placed on the website can only be delivered to addresses in Europe. Method of delivery depends on the country, and the delivery time is 3-8 days.

Orders are shipped from our warehouse daily. If an order is placed before 11 am the order will be sent the same day. When an order is sent from our warehouse, you will receive an email with tracking information. Note that the delivery time may be slightly longer than usual during sales or holidays.

Shipping service provider/fee

A shipping fee may be applied, and the exact shipping method is presented during checkout. Shipping methods and costs vary between countries.

We are responsible for your order until you have physically received it. If you can see visible transport damage to the packaging or product at the time of delivery, or if the delivery does not match the information on your order confirmation, please notify us by email as soon as possible. We will then investigate the situation more closely, and, in the event of an incorrect delivery, we will make sure to send the right product or refund the payment, depending on what is agreed and possible. Any return shipping and/or shipping costs for new goods are not paid by the customer in this case.

If a delivery is not picked up within 14 days, it will be returned to us automatically. In the event of an automatic return, Hardanger Bestikk can ship the order again if the customer requests this, free of charge. If the order is not reshipped, the customer will be refunded for the entire order, including any shipping costs. However, there is a fee of EUR 4,90 for return shipping and other possible costs in connection with the return. This fee is deducted from the refund amount.

In the event of a severely delayed delivery, you as a customer have the right to cancel the order. If such a cancellation should occur, a refund will be made within 14 days of the cancellation.

 

RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL AND RETURN

We offer a 30-day right of withdrawal when purchasing on the website. The right of withdrawal period begins from the moment you receive your order or, in the case of a split delivery, the day you receive the last part of your order. If you regret your purchase, you can return your order within the right of withdrawal period or notify us in writing that you wish to exercise the right of withdrawal.

If you choose to exercise your right of withdrawal by notifying us in writing within the withdrawal period, you must email us and state that you wish to exercise this right. You can also choose to enclose a completed model cancellation form. After your notification informing us that you wish to withdraw from your purchase, you have 14 days to return the item to us.

When you send the return package, please print and fill in the return form that came with the order confirmation email and include this in the return package. You can also find the return form here. You can also write your own note with the following information: order number, which products are being returned, date on which the order was placed, name, address and date on which the order is returned.

The customer must arrange and bear all costs of a return themselves. Because the customer is responsible for the parcel arriving at our warehouse, we recommend that the return be made with trackable shipping. To make the return as easy and safe as possible, we urge you to return the item in its original packaging.

In the event of a return, the customer is responsible for the product until we receive it. To get a refund of the entire amount you paid for the product or products you return, they must be returned in a good and unused condition. You have the right to inspect the goods in a way that does not damage them or make them unsuitable for resale, but if you return a product that has been used or otherwise made unsuitable for resale, a depreciation deduction can be applied.

The refund is made via the same payment method used to pay for the purchase, unless otherwise specifically agreed. Refunds will be made within 14 days of us receiving your notification that you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal, provided that we have received the return package or proof that the return has been sent. If you wish to withdraw from your entire order, we will also refund, in addition to the value of the products, the shipping costs corresponding to the cheapest available shipping method at the time of ordering. If you have chosen a different shipping method than the cheapest one offered, the difference will not be refunded.

Please note that we cannot make any exchanges. If you as a customer would like another product, you must return the product ordered and place a new order for the other product

Products purchased on the website cannot be returned in store or at retailers. We also do not accept returns of products purchased in stores or from retailers.

COMPLAINTS

Hardanger Bestikk offers an lifetime warranty for manufacturing defects. Read more here. If you want to make a complaint about a product, we ask you to contact our customer service. In the event of an approved complaint, you can either have the product repaired or replaced, receive your money back or get a price reduction, depending on the situation. In order for a complaint to be approved, it must be justified, and the error must not have arisen as a result of incorrect use or other damaging treatment. You must complain within a “reasonable amount of time” after you have discovered the defect in the product. If you complain within two months after the error was discovered, the complaint is always considered to have been made within a reasonable time.

If a complaint is approved, you may need to return the item for which you made a complaint. In that case, you will have to arrange and pay for shipping yourself. Hardanger Bestikk bears the return costs, and we will reimburse you for reasonable return costs. In the case of an incorrect delivery, the product must be returned in unused condition and in the original packaging. Please print and fill in the return form that came with the order confirmation email and include it in the return package. You can also find the return form here.

We have the possibility to change our terms of purchase without prior warning. These changes apply to all orders made after the changes to the terms.

 

DISPUTE RESOLUTION

If a dispute should arise between you and us, and this presumably cannot be resolved, it will be tried in court under required legislation. If you want to establish a case, you can contact the Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) at: Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers European Commission, 1049 Bruxelles/Brussels, Belgium or by visiting their website here. Complaints can also be made by contacting your local complaint office.
