Children's cutlery in everyday life

For the little ones who want to eat for themselves

Children have a great desire to try and manage by themselves, they will do as the adults. We at the Hardanger brand think it is important that the children are allowed to eat for themselves and feel included around the dining table. The children become extremely proud that they can use the exact same cutlery as their parents.

Together around the dinner table, both large and small

Most days in life are weekdays, and we at the Hardanger brand want to encourage you to take care of these days. Many of us experience busy weekdays with work, training, housework, follow-up of leisure activities and other social events.

We would like to encourage you to set aside time for a pleasant dinner time in these busy weekdays. A meal is so much more than just food. A meal also includes the good, important conversations, the closeness to good people and relaxed shoulders. Such cozy moments around the dining table can also have a great impact on the children’s development and give a nice sense of community for both young and adults.

Again, we want to encourage to not only use the children’s cutlery for special occasions, but use our quality assured cutlery for the purpose it was intended, which is for every day and for every mealtime. The longest spoon is a feeding spoon and is perfect for serving baby food and porridge. The feeding spoon can also be used by adults for, for example, jam or other jars where a longer spoon is often needed. The knife and fork work well for all dishes, including simple meals where the child can butter a slice of bread at breakfast. The spoon can be used for yogurts and other similar meals.

The children’s cutlery comes in our best-selling series’ Ramona, Nina, Fjord and Julie. The children’s sets have the exact same design as for adults. Children may need a little motivation when they start eating with cutlery, so it helps that children’s sets are designed for small children’s hands and their motor skills. The children’s sets have a large gripping surface which means that the cutlery parts fit well in the hand and is easy to eat with.

In children’s best interests

We often say that we want the best for our children. When it comes to cutlery, we at Hardanger Bestikk believe that it is in the children’s best interests to feel included around the dining table. Children’s cutlery in quality-assured steel that can accompany the children for many years is for us thein the best interest for children. Including the children around the dining table can be as simple as the children getting the same glasses, plates, and cutlery as others around the table.

The children’s cutlery has comfortable, rounded edges. The cutlery is carefully polished until the perfect result is achieved, even between the tines on the fork to avoid food residues and bacteria.

Maintenance of cutlery

Our children’s cutlery contains 18% chromium and 10% nickel, which makes up stainless steel. The quality of the cutlery is durable, which means that you can use the cutlery for all occasions. The children’s cutlery can be washed in the dishwasher but rinse the cutlery well in advance to avoid stains on the cutlery. You can read more about maintenance of cutlery here. We also offer a 10-year warranty on all our products. To take better care of the cutlery, we recommend using a cutlery bag. They take up little space in the cupboard and contribute to longer life on the cutlery.
